Welcome, electoral system seeker!

This site is devoted to increasing awareness of a new proportional voting system - Proportional Seat Distribution (PSD) - and educating the public on its mechanics and benefits. You can learn what PSD is, the basics of how it works (even delve right into the technical details, if you desire) and see how it compares with other voting systems. If inclined, you can download the detailed report on PSD created for submission to Canada's 2016 Special Committee on Electoral Reform or the calculation spreadsheet to simulate voting results. If you have any helpful advice, comments, criticism or questions be sure to contact us - we're happy to hear it!

- PSD does not make ridings bigger.

- PSD does not use extra MPs to make parliament proportional.

- PSD is super simple for voters: they just mark an X for their preferred local candidate.

- PSD is super easy to implement because boundaries and ballots are left unchanged!
